The architect on the project, Bryan Merman, immediately picked up on the concept that they were looking for: something fresh but appropriately scaled and comfortable. “For the exterior, we decided on a knife-edge gable structure that is reminiscent of rural barns,” Bryan explained. “Over the years, we expect the aged cedar strip wood cladding on the front gable to patina to a weathered old barn hue. The contrast of old materials on the top to the modern base of the home, made for a compelling story that aligned perfectly with the story and personality of the homeowners.”

“The most expensive home on the market in Huntersville is a new six bedroom custom estate home offering gorgeous lakefront views. This home, which was built in 2019 after a two-year design and build process, was constructed using steel structural framing that allows for dramatic and sweeping views, a 25-foot vaulted ceiling in the kitchen and a tower office with a 300-degree view. This home also comes with a 12,000-pound boat lift.”

The local homebuilder says it will build seven custom homes around an existing 4,307-square-foot home that sits at 7230 Alexander Road, off Providence Road, in a new gated community that will be called The Manors at Mattie Rose. The new homes will feature an architectural style similar to that of the original manor, built in 1974 and slated for renovation.
